I. Overview
The indexing head produced by a machine tool accessory factory was originally hand-cranked. Due to the increased automation of its supporting equipment, the indexing head is required to be controlled accurately and automatically. Therefore, the factory cooperated with Shenzhen Step Technology Company to develop an automatic numerical control indexing head, which improved the quality and grade of the products.
This model is an automatic model, and the electric control scheme is PLC + man-machine interface + stepping motor and driver. PLC adopts K304-14AT, AC 220V power supply, 6-point transistor output type, human-machine interface adopts 4-line text display, and stepping motor is used to realize the accuracy of indexing angle.

2. Text display setting parameters
The preset value and current value of the indexing angle can be displayed, and the speed can be set to the nearest arc second.
Three, process flow
The control scheme is a typical sequential control system, and the control process is roughly as follows:
1. There is a signal for indexing start, the stepping motor rotates, and the indexing starts;
2. After the indexing is over, Q0.5 outputs an indexing end signal;
3. It can be jog manually.

The indexing head has a wide range of uses. CNC automation is the development direction. The stability of the Kinco-K3 series PLC control and the high precision of the stepping motor make the system economical and practical.
